Pakistan Red Crescent in Collaboration with Sindh Police Organized Free Medical Camp
Pakistan Red Crescent Sindh in collaboration with Sindh Police provided free medical check-ups to locals at a medical camp at Khuda ki Basti, Surjani Town, Karachi. The free medical camp was organized on February 24, 2018.
The camp aimed to raise awareness regarding regular health check-ups in order to improve the quality of life. It provided free medical consultation, diagnostic, treatment and medicines to the local community.
A team of highly qualified doctors, both male and female, participated in the camp. These include physicians, dentists, ophthalmologists, Gynecologists, dermatologists etc.
The local community received free examination of blood sugar, blood pressure, ultrasound and ECG by trained staff.
It was identified that malnutrition and poor hygiene were main contributing factors for poor health in community. Therefore, we conducted sessions on health and hygiene to educate the people about the best practices to stay safe.
Chairman PRC Sindh and the SSP West visited the camp and appreciated the services of the staff and volunteers. The SSP appreciated the role of PRC Sindh in community service.
